I stay pretty up to date on these things and I never even heard about this party until after it happened. So the small # of participants is probably due to poor notice of the event. I thought all the TEA PARTIES were on the 4th.

I graduated Engineering in NY 40 years ago. I applied for a position as City Engineeer and was told that I didn't have a ghost of a chance if I did not Register as a Democrat. I left NY and Registered Republican.

I just have one question for everyone that constantly puts down the tea parties: Please be honest with yourselves and others, and tell me exactly what it is that makes you hate and ridicule these people so much? Everytime they have these tea parties, they are always dismissed as just a bunch of nut jobs who wasn't happy with the election, or want to overthrow the gov't. or any number of other reasons that are not really valid. Just as they are exercising their Constitutional right to protest the government, you are exercising yours of free speech. I get that. But the way in which some of you condemn them so much for wanting really the same things we all want (just accomplished in different ways), is really not exercising free speech. It is about being the same intolerant, ignorant, and misinformed people that you accuse them of being. We just want what is best for our country, our kids, and our future, without having government have their hands in everything we do, whether it is taxes, regulations, religion, or whatever.
