Actually, the science of the underlying premise of The Day After Tomorrow is credible -- the megastorms and instant freezing shown in the movie, however, are not so credible. I have 3 personal friends with earned PHD's. Two of the three are complete and total morons with zero common sense. The other one is exceptionally brilliant, but the point is that a PHD doesn't make you a "smarter" person in any fashion.

I have many friends with Ph.D's, most are smart, a few are not, you are not revealing anything new. I do find interesting that you take more issue with my claims then you do with "Time to kick leftist..." I'm a snob, and what is he, a fair-minded person? Left-wing (i.e. liberals) are more concerned in promoting their own idealogical, seared conscinece so they may sear the conscience of others rather then debating, discussing or considering any one specific issue. In other words, they want to "shove it down my throat". This attitude shows itself in organizing a response to promote their idealogy, character assination, strawman and rabbit chasing logic.
Right-wing (i.e. conservatives) are more concerned with peace and quite (i.e. just give me my little piece and I'll be quite). This attitude shows itself by being un-orginized, lazy and calling it "Tolerance".
If we can agree that the populace is composed of 20% liberal minded, leaving 80% moderate (middle of the road) and the rest some type of conservatie, why is the minority dectating how the mojority operates?
Arrogance is defined by Webster as " the over exaggeration of ones self worth in a over bearing attitude". I only have a couple of Associates Degrees and "I" can see it is the individual human behavior.
What the hell does a PhD in anything have to do with the situation?
It's about the one you(me) look at in the mirror.
Refer to the American Revolution, the Constituation and the Declaration of Independence and ask yourself "Why did these people find it necessary to act in this manner"?
