Religious Ornaments Banned from Capitol Christmas Tree
PHOENIX, Arizona, September 30, 2009 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Attorneys with the Alliance Defense Fund (ADF) called on Arizona state and federal officials on Monday to stop enforcing a requirement prohibiting the state's schoolchildren from expressing religious viewpoints through Christmas themes while decorating ornaments for the 2009 Capitol Christmas Tree.Arizona was chosen this year to present 4,000 handcrafted ornaments made by elementary, middle-school, and high-school students to decorate Washington, D.C.'s annual Christmas tree.Guidelines for the ornaments include specifications for their size, weight, composition, and the directive that "Ornaments cannot reflect a religious or political theme… Instead share your interpretation of our theme 'Arizona's Gift, from the Grand Canyon State.'"

I can totally see no political views as it is a CHRISTMAS tree but no religious ornaments?? WTH?? OBAMA and the far left our killing our country. Like it or not it was founded on Judea-Christian values. And to have Christmas ornaments with no religious messages or pictures is just wrong. And last time I checked seeing a Christmas tree or religious symbols isn't forcing religion on anyone it is just an express of one's faith. The Far left have gone too far, seems the only religion allowed to express itself is Islam, I think in fear if they aren't allowed to the radicals will blow something up. I would love to know how much you know about the Constitution because since O has taken office and filled his cabinet with criminals and thugs, the Constitution has taken a beating. I call on all Christians to re-evaluate how we “I” spend Christmas, (judgment begins in the house of the Lord). If we are going to honor God Jesus then we may want to stop honoring God Visa. Let's spend less on ourselves and our children and give more to others and not anonymously either. Its fine to write a check but if you invite a child from a broken home who is in your child’s class at school to church and out to lunch through November then in December it would be easy to stop by Wal-Mart and pick them up a set of clothes or two, by January they will KNOW who Jesus is. Lets return this season to a season of celebrating Christ's birth by buying less, serving more, being less over committed and being more truly committed to love, joy, peace, patience, kindness goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control

You have a great idea. I would add that Christians should not spend any money at retailers who as a matter of policy ban their employees from saying Merry Christmas or otherwise support the political correctness doctrine of ignoring the significance and real meaning of Christmas.
I agree with buy less, serve more and keep CHRIST in Christmas. Now more than any other time in our nation's history, we need Chirst.
The current decline of our country is the direct result of allowing OUR government, and the screeching voices of the few who scream the loudest to push God out!
It would be great if this Christmas marks the beginning of a renewal towards being a Christian nation again. Sadly today, we are becoming a post-Christian nation like most of Europe.

It's CHRISTmas for Pete's sake! I have just about had it with the removal of religion from the public square, and will follow the Salazar V. Buono (Mojave Cross) case closely. "Onward Christian Soldiers" is no joke these days. And we wonder why the kids are acting like animals in the streets.

I don't want to get off the subject at hand, but I do want to respond to this just for thought. How do you know God claimed homosexuality was wrong and unnatural? It is unnatural to heterosexuals, but wrong? I question this because I have always been taught that God loved everything He made and was forgiving. I was also taught He didn't make mistakes. Actually, if HE did make mistakes His biggest mistake would be mankind.
I was also taught "Love ye one another." which is what I believe was something God said. Try it you might like it.
