Christian Leaders Call for Civil Disobedience Against Secularism
A formidable coalition of 150 Catholic, Orthodox, and evangelical leaders is calling on Christians in a new manifesto to reject secular authority — and even engage in civil disobedience — if laws force them to accept abortion, same-sex marriage, and other ideas that betray their religious beliefs.
On Friday, these leaders released a 4,700-word document, titled the "The Manhattan Declaration: A Call of Christian Conscience," which calls on Christians to engage in civil disobedience to defend their doctrines.
Those signing the document ranged from evangelical leader Chuck Colson to two of the leading Catholic prelates in the United States, Archbishop Donald Wuerl of Washington, D.C., and Archbishop Timothy Dolan of New York.

I find it funny that the religious groups are complaining about being forced to accept abortion and same-sex marriage, when the real issue is that these same groups want to force their will on others. Stop shoving your religious lifestyle choice down everyone else’s throats, keep it private. I think the religious shouldn’t be allowed to adopt children or teach. I don’t think they can be trusted around our kids we all know about the Catholics and their track record when it come to that kind of thing besides I that I’m just not comfortable with them indoctrinating children by teaching them about their disgusting lifestyle choices and there religious agenda. Everyone knows no ones born religious, there’s no religious gene, so they have to recruit our children, and it’s revolting. If the religious want to break the laws of this land I say we tax them, no tax exempt status for corrupt religions!

We were formed in open rebellion against the, at the time, laws of God, which supported a King. There is a reason no mention of God or Jesus in the constitution, Bill of Rights or Declaration of Independence. If we were formed as a Christian nation, they would have mentioned it somewhere.

What science is is a lot of hard work that constantly seeks to improve upon the wealth of human knowledge through the discovery of empirical fact. In an earnest attempt to discover this knowledge it also seeks to improve upon its own findings. As such, it represents the only methodology with the authority of judging what is fact and what is theory. I.e. the earth is not a sentient being and any such postulating is unproven theory, much like your god.
