Rangel Confronted Over Shady Finances
Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-NY) was asked about his failure to disclose about $700,000 in assets this weekend in Harlem by my pal Azi Paybarah of PolitickerNY -- and responded by saying he was a victim of a New York Post smear campaign.
The charming, churlish House Ways and Means chairman, who is the subject of several ethics committee probes, blasted away at the Murdoch-owner tab -- even though the disclosure story was reported by POLITICO and other news outlets. Read more ...

Where is the ethics committee? Where is the FBI? Where is all of our congressmen and senators? Are we turning a blind eye to this bigot and crook? Someone needs to wakeup and start taking a look at cleaning up the house that spends our tax dollars. Why is he not being punished, because he and others who are breaking the law and then dismissing it are getting away with something that a whole lot of the rest of us would have already been put in jail for. They are not above the law just because they are a congressman or woman or if they are in the senate they are not either, it does not matter which party you are with. They should not be holding on to a job that they have no business having. I think the justice system needs a whole lot of work.

Charming? Churlish? If you're a fan of things like plagues, kidney stones, abcessed teeth, and gall bladder attacks, I suppose you might find Charlie "charming and churlish"! I personally find him repugnant and ghoulish! But he represents every negativity that this contaminated congress stands for, and shall undoubtedly avoid any real discomfort from his "shady financial" escapes. "Shady"? If you can call a total eclipse "shade", then I guess Rengal is merely "shady"!

I love how our law makers think that they are above the very laws that they are sworn to defend that they are above the average citizen when in fact they are the public's servents and should be held to a higher standard. to think that Charlie is above the scrutiny of a public investigation is laughable, that is the job of the media, newsprint, radio, television, and magazine they should all be investigating him and every other currupt politician in our government, which at this time mean from the head , President , down to the lowest official.
