Internal E-mails Show Obama Team Being Deceitful About Drilling?
If you’re the President of the United States or one of his political appointees and you’re ideologically opposed to new oil and natural gas development offshore, what do you do when the public registers its overwhelming support for new drilling in public opinion polls?
You dance, delay, and deceive. You speak melodious words about seeking the wisdom of the public in making these decisions and then ignore evidence of the public will when you get it, or worse, you hide it.
First came the dance. In August 2008, after soaring gas prices and a dramatic shift in public opinion caused President Bush, Florida Governor Charlie Crist, and Republican presidential candidate John McCain to reverse their positions on offshore drilling, then-Senator Obama also changed. The Democratic presidential nominee reversed his own position and that of his party, saying he was open to offshore drilling as part of an overall energy plan. The Democratic Congress followed a month later by quietly dropping the 25-year Congressional ban on offshore drilling.
Then came the delay. In January 2009, President Obama inherited a draft five year offshore drilling plan prepared by the outgoing Bush administration. The plan was already receiving public comment as part of the elaborate rule making process followed by federal agencies. Ken Salazar, Obama’s new Secretary of Interior, determined the decision about new offshore drilling was so important that he ordered a six-month extension to the comment period.
Third comes the dishonesty.

Obama needs a tax revenue scheme because the Fed is out of money, their spending much more than they are taking in, and Obamacare has not passed, which by the way was to allow the Fed to keep operating and spending for the next couple of years(free money). With entitlements like SSI, Medicare, and Obamacare, all of the money they take in for these programs can and will be spent on other things. They operate these programs by increasing the deficit, this is always written into the bill, before these entitlements pass and become law. This way they can tell the public that Cong is not increasing the deficit to spend on earmark projects, they simply spend on earmarks the money raised for the entitlement, and then run and operate the entitlement by increasing the deficit. Bernie Madoff would be proud.

It is now known that the "Climate Change" fraud is just that, a fraudulent scheme designed to handicap western developed nation's economies! Secondly, we have enough oil and coal to last us several centuries into the future. We have Nuclear energy in addition to that! The threat to our security is that the damn government wont let us:
* drill for new oil domestically
* mine newly discovered deposits of coal & oil shale
* build new refineries
* build new nuclear reactors
* build new coal generating plants
This is what needs to be done to ensure our nations security, future and economy. The government is standing in the way of big oil! The govt. is making 15% on a gallon of gas while the oil companies are getting a whopping 4% of profit! Now who is the villain in this picture?People naively think that oil is only used to make gasoline to feed rich Republicans SUVs, oil is used to make everything from fertilizer to medical equipment and pharmaceuticals. The idea that this is going to destroy the environment is ridiculous, new technologies have made these processes safe and clean; we are shooting ourselves in both feet!

With Obama you must listen to every word out of his mouth (and try to ignore all of the ah-ah-ah's) because he chooses his words very carefully. All I heard him say is that he would "consider" offshore drilling and constructing nuclear plants...he didn't say he'd authorize or order any of that to be done, did he? He considered them for possibly the few seconds it took him to say that and immediately dismissed the idea. Maybe he now has to get China's permission before we can drill for oil. China is, or soon will be, calling all of the shots for our country and many others. Our failure to produce our own oil enslaves us to the OPEC countries. Our massive debt owed to China makes us enslaved to China. We are no longer a free country...and you know what? It doesn't matter to a whole lot of the younger generation of Americans. That's the real shame.
