We may not get a third party but I do know that many will not vote along party lines. I, for one, will vote for the person that upholds the U.S. Constitution and Conservative values. I will not throw my vote away on a party. My vote is precious and I will vote ONLY for a person not a party. Both parties have taken us down to this stage. We need someone who will bring us back to what our forefathers designed. I want our Republic and Capitalist system back.

Bill knows better than to seriously suggest this. A third party is an Obama win. Every time someone suggests a third party Queen Nancy smiles. Do you want that? The Lefts base is never going to defect. All the freeloaders are going to keep riding the bus along with the abortionists, religion haters, business haters, internationalists and the environmental fringe. A third party will split the vote of Conservatives and Independents. A third party will not have the mechanism in place to run a nationwide campaign. Ross Perot showed us it takes more than one dynamic leader to create this kind of revolution. The Republicans need to go into a room and discuss the opportunity they have. They should come out proclaiming the same things Ronald Reagan did. That American is a great land of opportunity and that the government should ‘deliver the mail, defend the shores, and get out of the way’. Carl Rove created the ‘win with 51%’ strategy. It stinks. Reagan campaigned for every vote. He went to the people with simple honest statements. And he won big. Forget the third party. The liberal press will eat it alive with dismissive snotty comments. Some independents will listen to that, and there goes the election. This is actually about Sarah Palin. I’ll offer suggestions on her roll later.

No, we don't need a third party. We need to fix the two that we have. Simple answer, simple solution, eliminate adding to an already fouled system. The simplest approach is usually the best.

The American people are too lazy, ill informed, and lack the integrity needed to change their ways. As history has proven it will take another Pearl Harbor or 911 in the political sensed, to awaken this sleeping giant. The question is why are we so backward about our government. Most common folk could even tell you who the vice presiden is. They vote based on what they hear on the 6 oclock news and over the lunch counter. IF they vote at all. Wake up America.....that sounds like a good name for a new party? If only......disgusted in Mo.

Our system is designed to work with two parties. A third party acts only as a spoiler, because they can't financially support the party consistently, year in, year out. If we used runoff elections, we'd allow any number of parties, because you wouldn't be throwing away your vote, you get another bite at the apple.

Again, O'Reilly's grading of Obama did not make any sense. He gave him a good grade on the economy. The tri fecta's stimulus package failed, Bill. And, now, today, Obama is out blaming the Republicans for the economy. It's Obama's economy now, and he needs to shoulder the responsibility for it.

What's the matter with my post? Have you got a problem with criticism of O'Reilly? He is wrong on this issue because a third party never wins. The GOP is returning to its conservative values and conservative members of the GOP offer the principles the tea partiers stand for. Members of the GOP are the ones who are fighting for conservative principles as the healthcare debate goes forward. Further, O'Reilly, you seem to think Palin is the only alternative for the GOP in 2012. She is not. We have guys out there who would make super GOP candidates!

I think O'Reilly has lost his way. The tea partiers are too smart to form a separate party and thus risk getting the values they are fighting for defeated by liberal loons. The principles tea partiers endorse can be found with the conservative base of the Republican party, which is anti-abortion, anti-Big Government, believes in cutting Government spending, not increasing it, creating jobs in the private sector, not the Government sector, etc., etc.

Bill is partly correct however he leaves out the obvious truth, a third party is not needed because the movement by conservatives currently underway will replace the Grand Old Party. Makeup will consist of Dems, Repubs, Independents, as well as lesser known groups. The organizing has begun and so far the results are way above expectations in terms of money raised and voter support. Palin, Bachmann and Beck are the primary reasons for the success of the movement. Join now and fight the Obama posse on every move.

If a Republican has the integrity and values they were intended to have in the GOP, there's no need for a third party, the GOP does not have Mao lovers, does not have communists like Van Jones, does not have pelosis that even with her millions, she still squeezes every penny she can out of tax payers for her own use. Trying to get new jets for comfort while we fly coach is corrupt. Make the GOP stronger to defeat the commies, no third party needed.

A Third Party only serves the purpose for which it is formed if everyone (Independents, Conservatives & Republicans are truly dissatified with how the Party is being run) to get behind a qualified Third Party candidate. Otherwise, it serves only one purpose and that is to be a spoiler and allowing the Democrats to win. The vote is split up, and the only winner is the candidate you are trying to get rid of in the first place. There are 545 politicians in Washington that need to be replaced. Let's concentrate on replacing them by having a person who would run under the Republican umbella against the Democrat that we want ousted from his self-serving position or any Republican who has demonstrated they are a traitor to our values and principles. There are 3 milliion people who can possibly do that, but all we need is the majority of them to say I am sick and tired of business as usual in Washington, and vote these bastards out of office from both parties if they aren't upholding our Constitution. Let's not muddy the waters with a Third Party right now unless we are positive we can WIN. For 2010 it is too late, but 2012 may be a different story depending how many seats we can take back. If the Blue Dog Democrats don't have the guts to stand up for their constituents and the rest of America, then they should lose their jobs no matter what Reid, Pelosi offer them.

The chances of creating a third party right now are slim to none, but there has been a good beginning. IF we create a third party, how ever, it SHOULD be one that is concerned with life from its VERY BEGINNING to its VERY END! That means finding the QUALITY of life as important as being born! Being born into squaller and poverty, starvation, maltreatment, etc. is NOT how GOD meant life to be!!! I read a blog by a man who described the HORROR of a "late term fetus having scissors plunged into its brain". And he was right! It is unimaginably HORRIBLE! My problem is that he seems to find the possibility of "scissors plunged into that same beings heart" in some senseless homecide, 20 years later, less uncivilized, and more acceptable to God. The new party MUST BE LEGITIMATE RIGHT-TO-LIFERS! The ridiculous taking of an adult life is no more acceptable to God than a Fetus's! And the fight against any life threatening factor must be protested with the same passion as ABORTION! And it it isn't,! So a third party cannot, and should not, be a SINGLE ISSUE PARTY!

America needs more than a Third Party, if it is to Survive. Morality is very low in this Nation. Most of the Young are 'Forging" a path to Hell and it seems to be getting worst. Liberal Democrats are able to deceived and manipulate the Ignorant into voting for Servants of Satan. The people will have to "Change", and go back to the True Christain Ways. Not only will many Government Leaders have to be replaced, including Judges, but Professors and Teachers throughout the whole Education System will need to go. Repent and Turn From Your Wicked Ways.

I stopped watching Bill. I don't have much patience for someone trying so hard to be liked by the media that he looks silly trying to prove himself a centrist. He takes very irrational positions that appeal to the elitists. As far as a third party, we really need to take over the Republican party and make certain there are no traitors running. No running with one position and voting or leading from another. No sneaky, lying liberals undercover as a Republican like Colin Powell. At any rate we need to settle on one plan, either take over the party, or have a complete uprising to start a third party.

I could not agree with you more. I think we should have conservative part candidates run against the Republican candidate in some type of runoff election prior to the general election, vote the conservative party candidate in and then have that person run against the democrat. That way we are not splitting votes between the conservative and Republican candidates.

Two political parties will suffice nicely, Mr Engligh Teacher turned "political genius"... All the Republican leaders have to do if they want us to vote for their candidates is (duh!) support for the candidates we, the patriotic masses of America, are going to vote for - with or without them. By the way, this will only work if we use our native intelligence (read: common sense) and stick together at election time.
