Obama Skips Berlin Wall Anniversary

President Obama squeezed in a trip to Copenhagen last month to lobby, unsuccessfully, for Chicago to host the 2016 Summer Olympics. He plans to travel to Oslo next month to accept the Nobel Peace Prize, an award that even Obama has said he does not deserve. And this coming week, he sets out on a weeklong tour of Asia.

But the president does not plan to travel to Germany to attend the 20th anniversary celebration Monday of the fall of the Berlin Wall, drawing heated criticism from those who say he's ignoring a shining triumph of American-inspired democracy.

"A tragedy," is how former House Speaker Newt Gingrich described Obama's absence.

I have never been ASHAMED of a President of the U.S. Jimmy Carter was the closest, but Obama gives me a reason to be ashamed EVERY month. The ONLY thing he does well is talk - and then only with a teleprompter that is functioning flawlessly. Three more years of his stupidity is really scary. It's like watching Ford walking down the stairs from Air Force One. You just know what's coming next.

If you'd have put money on the chances of an American president not being present at this event 10 years ago...you'd have been laughed at. Is Obama that juvenile and self absorbed that acknowledging Reagan's success would grate on him by his attendance. He's happy to address Berliners on his "I'm a world citizen" candidate tour...but he won't appear at this event? An American president was active in the fall of this wall and it is good decorum and appropriate that an American president be present now. It would bolster connections with the Germans and with former eastern block countries and Obama's too thin skinned to attend? Not the right photo op perhaps? He accepts an un-earned Nobel peace prize, will be in Norway to accept that but he can't perpetuate the legacy of Reagan's success? Obama's a slime..truly.

One of the first decisions bo made that I agree with. There were a lot of brave people both physically brave and politically brave people there today. It would have just been embarrising for our country for someone like bo to go over there and apologise for our country again. Let the world enjoy the victory over tyranny. BO is looking for ways to initiate his own tyranny on america.

Obama was invited by Chancellor Merckel to attend the twentieth Anniversary of the removal of the wall, But Obama declined, If all of you recall he had asked Merckel if he could visit the Historical site when addressed the Germans as a Senator and running for President.
But was denied on the grounds that only heads of States are allowed that privilege, so being the man child that he is, he is sticking it to her.

Why would you go to celebrate the fall of communism ? It would only anger your communist / marxist supporters. This is what the liberals have been supporting for years, and they have the audacity to praise the communist form of government and knock freedom, why don't they go live under that failed system. Everyone of them support a dictatorship. America is wakeing up.
