What wrong with knowing the truth about history? Has America been a huge part during these wars? Of course we have... however never forget our allies, we could never have done any of this with them. Seems like most Americans have a skewed view on WW1 and 2, act like we went in and did everything ourselves... that is not the case. Call me Anti American all you want, we did great things in these wars, but to think it was all us is laughable.

It wasn't about the World Wars, it was about the Cold War and the fall of communism. WE did the majority of the work to bring the wall down. Our subs infiltrated the Soviet ports and rivers and tapped into communication lines. Reagan had economic saboteurs devalue the Ruble. The "Star Wars Defense" bluff put them into a dither. It was too much to handle. (Read "Blind Man's Bluff: The Untold Story of American Submarine Espionage" by Sontag and Drew and also "Confessions of an Economic Hitman" (sorry i forget the authors name off-hand). There was a coordinated effort to win the Cold War and with that, the walls came down.
Liberals hate it that Reagan won the Cold War and Lauer is just another leftie boot-licker.
Obama didn't go to Germany because he shuns celebrating the fall of any socialist regime and he hates that Reagan caused it.
This is the same thing happening at Ft. Hood. There are idiots there whooping ot up for Obama - AT A MEMORIAL SERVICE!!! He has ObamaBots everywhere, but especially at NBC and bsNBC.

I would say there are some Germans who have family that is here in America and I would not go as far to say we had everything to do with it , but President Regan did have something to do with it no matter what Mr. Lauer says. Our American President had a very strong speech which he delivered and yes it did send a strong message about the wall. If you want to talk about a ego look in the mirror.

This is how history gets rewritten. If you think Bush was hated, the Reagan hatred of the leftist media was worse. Without Reagan and Thatcher, the wall would not have come down. Although I do not know why they bothered. The cancer of communism is running rampant over the world and is making deals with Islam. I remember the media gave lip service to cheering the wall coming down, but every other sentence of their coverage threw water on the idea of Freedom taking place. They seemed to lament the fall of the USSR.

First, I do not know that most Americans see "the fall of the wall" as "an American victory". Neither do I think the Germans see it as a German victory. I thin k both countries see it as a "joint" victorious effort, and definately do give Reagan some credit for helping to "influence" its fall! Mauer is a "fading face", and is failing in his efforts to be an "elite intellect"!
