Damaging New Video Surfaces of Barney!
In an amazing display of dishonesty, Barney Frank claimed this week that conservatives were to blame for pushing unqualified buyers into home ownership.But, Verum Serum dug up video from 2005 that shows that not only was Frank oblivious and in full denial of the housing bubble, but Frank also admits in the speech that he will continue to push for home ownership:

Mr. Frank seems on the verge of a breakdown. He looks disheveled, is yelling and tense, kind of like he was when he was on with O’Reilly. My wife is a social worker and thinks he has already had a breakdown. She tells me if you listen closely everything he says sounds perverse. He talks about Obama’s huge stimulus package. He calls congressman Boehner congressman Boner. He refers to multiple big bonuses as big bone-i. She thinks he doesn’t realize what he’s saying. You think maybe it’s time for an intervention to help the poor man?

You are 100% corrct. A vast majority of Americans vote without having any informed basis for their vote. Either their parents voted for the incumbent or they feel it easier to keep the same person in power rather than take a chance on an unknown. Career Congressional Representatives have brought us to our knees. Maybe term limits would break the cycle of lousy representation, but we know full well that they will never vote themselves to term limits. They get too rich being 'On The Hill'. Barney Frank is not a lot more stupid or corrupt than most politicians and bureaucrats but his position in Congress lets him leverage his stupidity and corruptness by spending billions of dollars and passing massive regulatory programs. In the private sector, even with evil people like fraudmeister Bernie Madoff, transactions are voluntary and generally limited. Government is compulsion, and the scope of harm Barney and his friends can do and have already done is immeasurable.

Also, note the date on the video. It’s 2005. Republicans controlled both houses of Congress; so at the time, Barney Frank was just a powerless member of the minority party. Frank may be an idiot, but if you want to blame someone in Congress, blame the people who were in control.

In 2005, Barney began the process that destroyed the financial institutions. He coukldn't enact anything until idiots like you gave the Democrats a majority in 2006. Then Queen Pelosi, FRank, Dodd and a host of other dimwits began to pressure banks to make very risky loans. Desiring to share the risk, the banks created complex financial instruments which even now are unfathomable. The primary blame is Barney Frank, but the complicity of the Democrats was required to make it happen. I hope they continue to screw things up (as I'm sure they will). Then we can get rid of all of them, and hopefully have a "show trial" where we castrate them all.
