Is Al Gore relevant? Even as VP he was irrelevant. Anyone giving him a podium to speak just gives him more limelight where he neither earned nor deserves. Case in point, if he is such a green guy, he should give up anything that burns coal and gas. Give up everything that a modern society has that makes our present lives comfortable fas compared to 100 years ago. Do you think I want to light a candle for light? Heck no, and most people wouldn't as well. Gore needs to put his actions where his words originate. Of course, he won't because he lives a comfortable life, all because the advancements mankind has made to make this life what it is. What a hypocrite.

wind power... tidal power... solar power... biomass... they are already effective alternatives, before we even mention nuclear. and did we question how much it would cost to win WWII, Vietnam, Iraq II, Afghanistan? so why do we question how much it will cost to modernise America's energy sector and once again make us a world leader? I once calculated that the total cost of the Iraqi war would have provided us with enough wind turbines to deliver 25% of America's electricity. If we're happy to invest in the Middle East, why not in America's future?
