Pro-life Activist Shot and Killed
State police at the Corunna post have confirmed a well-known anti-abortion activist was shot multiple times and killed this morning in front of Owosso High School. The victim's identity has not yet been released but the shooting occurred around 7:30 a.m., after most students were off the buses and safely inside the building, said Owosso schools transportation supervisor Jayne Campbell.

I'm real sorry for this man who spoke up for LIFE. It's ashame that people can't protest freely in this country without being murdered. Liberals don't care about LIFE, especially little babies, why would we expect them to mention this man who was shot and killed. The guy killed 2 other people but some how that's been over looked. This man that was killed could have just been at the wrong place at the wrong time, the killer was a nutcase but he killed people he just didn't like. I don't know what all the facts are but this isn't like the Tiller case where he had be shot at before, 8 other abortion doctors have been killed, as so clinics have been bombed and staff memebers have been targeted. So if this guy was killed for being a pro-life protester, it would be a first.

according to cnn, authorities said that the suspect admitted to being offended by the "anti-abortion material" the protester was using. so it sounds to me like he was shot because of his anti-abortion beliefs.

What I do have a problem with is when someone like Tiller is killed instead of say his murderer was some crazy nutcase they label him as a right wing pro-lifer. I consider myself a Conservative Christian. I most of my beliefs considered conservative but there are few issues that I believe would be considered liberal - I believe in using marijuana for medical use for people who are in consent pain or cancer patients. We all are have that.
The point is when Tiller was murdered the news was all over it. There was such out rage and blaming different people (O'Reilly and RIGHT WING "NUTs") for creating hate for this man so therefor it was their fault so on. This was Big News for a couple of days - even on FOX. When a person who is very active in Pro-Life movement is killed you hear nothing........A small story for most of the news agencies. No out rage and no blaming. This is hypocritical!

The Fox Nation story doesn't present the whole story. This guy had a list of people that apparently annoyed him. The anti-abortion protester was just one of them. After he shot that man, he went down the street to shoot another guy who had nothing to do with the anti-abortion movement, and was stopped by police before he could complete further shootings. I think this will not get the same press and the doctors who are shot by anti-abortion activists because it did not appear to be about abortion. It was about a crazy guy who wanted to shoot a bunch of people.

you're right. the murderer doesn't sound like he has devoted his life to pro-choice. the anit-abortion movement may have been on his list of pet peeves, or I don't know what kind of signs the guy used but maybe it was being forced to look at dead babies every day that set him off. in that case he could've just asked the guy to tone it down a bit!
