What Happens If A 9/11 Terrorist Is Found Not Guilty?
"I am absolutely convinced that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed will be subject to the most exacting demands of justice," President Obama said in Tokyo. "The American people will insist on it and my administration will insist on it."
But what happens if KSM or any of the other 9/11 defendants the Obama administration is bringing to New York for criminal prosecutions -- including Ramzi Bin al-Shibh, Walid bin Attash, Ali Abdul Aziz Ali and Mustafa Ahmed al-Hawsawi -- are somehow found not guilty?
Attorney General Eric Holder brushed off the question, saying, "I would not have authorized the bringing of these prosecutions unless I thought that the outcome -- in the outcome we would ultimately be successful. I will say that I have access to information that has not been publicly released that gives me great confidence that we will be successful in the prosecution of these cases in federal court."
Not everyone is so confident, of course. KSM, for instance, was subjected to "enhanced interrogation techniques" that many consider torture. This includes being waterboarded 183 times in a one month. Could this undermine the case against him?

I believe they would be rearrested before they could walk out of the court house, because the trial is not for all of the charges against them, i.e. they would be retried on more charges, and on and on and on. This President along with Holder are two clowns who hate America, It is sad that everything that would have made the American people reject Obama was hidden from us by the main stream media all because they hated Bush, so is it was like taking the Country out of the frying pan and throwing it into the fire, and that is where we are now, It is now up to the people of this Country to put out the fire starting in 2010 and 2012.

I think it's pretty clear why O and his AG want this trial in NYC....it won't be a trial for a war criminal, our country, our past administration and our military/CIA/FBI will be on trial. And don't tell me Holder didn't make this decision w/o the approval of O and his administration - it's what they've wanted all along and this is their only way to get Bush/Cheney, et al. Trouble is, guys, the plan just may come back to bite you as the American people will be so enraged that you won't survive. That's the only upside to this horrendous plan.

When Holder first announced this I thought that this is a big mistake. First of all the Obama admin is giving these terrorists citizen rights. KSM was never given his Maranda warning prior to questioning. Obama himself said he was tortured. How would any of his "confession" be admissible in a court of law? And if they decide to defend themselves they will be privy to discovery. A good way to learn some secret info about the US. Good going Obama.
